New babies!

First is Shanti, a Buckskin Appy filly who's history is little known, other than her mother was a Quarter horse. She's about a year old I'm guessing, because she has cycled a few times since getting her. She was starved, wormy and unhandled when I bought her. I pulled bale wrap out of her mouth at the seller's place. Her front legs are a bit crooked but she is a very bold and quick learner. Purchased July 12 2024.

Next is Pedro the Palomino stud colt.

Pedro was the worst looking of the group but I would NOT leave him behind. He was very skeletal, had sore eyes, a swollen ankle, and extremely headshy. He also passed bale wrap the morning after I bought him cuz he'd eaten it at seller's place.

Pedro had been here about 2 weeks and had just gotten his eyes cleared up when an abcess popped out of the right side of his face, which I treated myself. And he then began limping. It turned out he had bad thrush in his hoof and had meds prescribed by a vet for that and swelling.

He was very headshy the first few weeks but we worked through his fear and now having been here 3 months he is very calm and friendly, and Nickers alot.  His personality is my favorite. He's probably a yearling as well but is obviously stunted at present.

Then Luke chose the bay Appy whom he named Viggo. Same place, same story as the other 2 . I love his colors and the brains on this little guy, Luke is gonna have so much fun with him, and has already taught him so much.

Those were thier sale ad pics and first day here. Let's see  how they look after the first month here

And progress is happening!

Pedro has been the longest to rehab because of all his issues, but he's proving to be a real diamond in the rough. He's also alot taller than the Appy ones but hopefully now that they're all getting fed, they'll all catch up on thier growing.

New pics to come soon! But I love this adventure 😍
